    Description

For your consideration is a wonderful antique flask/decanter handpainted in Holland by Goedewaagen Gouda.
It is advertising the Wynand Focking Distillery in Amsterdam
Marked Wynand Fockink Amsterdam on the shoulder. Marked 188 Goedewaagen Gouda H on bottom.
Measures about 5.5" high (about 6-1/8" with top), 4-3/4" wide and about 1-1/2" deep
Great handpainted image of man with pipe and hat looking out at sailboat, houses and windmill on reverse
This Amsterdam pottery first started production in 1610, and is still in business today, under the name Royal Goedewaagen. As well, the Wynand Fockink Distillery, for whom the decanter was made, is
also still producing spirits today, having opened their doors as a tasting house in 1679. What a great collectible piece with a bit of history combined! I'm not sure of the age of this piece, but I think it dates to the 1920's or 30's, or so
Nice overall crazing but no chips or cracks, lid with cork is in good shape as well
